THIS CLUB IS CURRENTLY NOT OPERATIONAL
About the club
Calshotcats Sailing Club is a Catamaran and Monohull sailing club, non-racing (although some fleet trips seem very competitive to me!!!). We have a mixture of boats Hobies, Darts, Prindles, Spitfires and Nacras and Isos.
We are located in a glorious position, right at the end of Calshot Spit where Southampton Water meets the Solent. This means no time is wasted, sailing out of a river or marina to get to the prime sailing areas!
We are a very friendly club and enjoy monthly family barbecues as well as other social events so why not come and give crewing a try....we are always looking for Crew!
Benefits
Our members only clubhouse is located right next to the slipway and the slipway is usable at any stage of the tide. The club door faces Calshot Castle and the windows face seawards so there are fabulous all round views from Southampton to Portsmouth and beyond. We are the only club with no tide restrictions for launching and landing and we also have heated sail lockers which are available all year round.
The entire centre is watched over by security guards and recorded security systems.
To Join or Visit Us
Feel free to look around the site and chat to members to see if this could be the club for you. Check out our website for more membership information.
Membership runs from 1st April each year until 31st March the following year.
You must join the Calshot Activities Centre Association before you can join the Calshotcats Sailing Club and it would be a good idea to purchase an annual parking permit from the Activities Centre if you are a regular visitor to the site. Boat and windsurf storage facilities, including year round launching, use of wash off point and showers and toilets can be purchased from Calshot Activities Centre.
On Site Facilities
Calshot Activities Centre has a Café Bar where you can enjoy a range of meals or a light snack. Tea or coffee as well as draught and bottled beers, wines and soft drinks are also available.
